I have tried to install LDAP authentication. Thanks to the clear documentation it was no problem firing up octools, set the parameter, tested them successfully and have octools write them into config.web. But: nothing changes at the login screen, the old username/password still works. The LDAP usernames, passwords don't. Also, i'm not quite sure what form the LDAP username/passwords should take?Does the login map in the user setup (which, I understand, is used for Windows integration authentication) make any difference? How is the ldap login constructed? Does the authentication mode need to change? Any pointers, anyone? Thanks, Tom Edited by user Monday, March 8, 2010 9:44:06 AM(UTC)

When the LDAP authentication is set you should be able to see a different login screen. The mapping between the user email address and login is controlled from within the application at Setup > Manage Site Information > Update Site Ids You can see the detailed steps in the setup.chm file (in your installation folder) or accessing it online at: https://www.officeclip.com/docs/output/setup/index.html?page=source%2Fch07s03.html If you are still having problems, you send send your zipped web.config file to us (ocsupport at officeclip dot com) and we will look at it. Please mention this post with the email. Edited by user Tuesday, March 9, 2010 9:37:38 AM(UTC)

Hi! Thanks for sending your web.config via private email. I looked into it and I found that the general login screen is able to reach your LDAP server even though I could validate the login (maybe because I do not have an account on your LDAP server). Can you please create a fake login and password (may be a temporary account) on your directory server and email the credential to us (ocsupport at officeclip dot com), so that we can try to test it from here. Thanks |
