Dedicated Server with Parallel Plesk Panel can create problems with OfficeClip installation and running, this is because Plesk controls the website and applications under it. Follow these procedure if you are in a similar situation:
- Do a Remote Desktop (RDP) to your server and install OfficeClip the same way you would install on the local machine.
- Test it locally to make sure it works.
- In the Plesk Panel Click on the Domains from the left panel.
- Then click on DNS Settings under Web Site category.
- Add a new A-Record for officeclip.yourdomain.com with your ip address (replace yourdomain.com with your actual website domain), then commit the change.
- Now again RDP to the server and create a website called officeclip.yourdomain.com and point it to OfficeClip folder (usually c:\program files\8\officeclip).
- Create Host Headers (Bindings... in windows 2008) so that it points to officeclip.yourdomain.com port 80.
- Test OfficeClip.
