OfficeClip runs in ASP.Net application domain and this means that the application may be terminated by the IIS (or other agents) periodically to save resources. We have currently kept the timeout very long to avoid this problem.

We are also working on a permanent solution to this problem. In the meantime we suggest a workaround:

There is a free service called Host Tracker ( https://www.host-tracker.com ) that you can use to track your OfficeClip site every 30 minutes or so. In the url field give your login url. If you have installed OfficeClip as default application, it will be https://ipaddress-or-domain-name/officeclip/default.aspx. This will ensure that the OfficeClip site is pinged once every so often. One added advantage is that you can monitor the downtime of your officeclip site.

Note: OfficeClip does not endorse Host Tracker. I have just found it and it seems to be working. Feel free to choose any other site that may do something similar. We are looking into implementing this in a near release and then there will be no need for this.
