Sometimes it is necessary to hide OfficeClip applications from some of your users. For example, your Engineering Department may need to access the Timesheet application but people in Sales will not.


Hiding Applications based on Organization


All users that belong to an Organization can see only applications that belong to that Organization. If you have created multiple Organizations in your OfficeClip you can control access by going to Settings > Organization Settings > Organization Application (under privileges) and uncheck the application that your do not want to show.

Hiding Applications based on Roles

Within the same Organization you can hide applications based on user's Role. Suppose you have two employees John and Mary in the Sales department who do not need to see the Timesheet Application. Do the following:


  1. Create a new Role called Sales, by going to Settings > Organization Applications > Create a New Role.

  2. Add Mary and John to this role by going to Settings > Organization Applications > Manage Members for a Role.

  3. Now go to Settings > Organization Applications > Manage Member Roles screen and click on the last icon on the role Sales. A Block Appplication window will pop up. Here you can select the applications that you want to block from the Sales Role.
