I've completed the configuration of my email account within OfficeClip but I'm trying to understand how it works and what type of storage it takes.

I would like to know the following:

  1. When you have incoming emails how do you get the email associated with a particularly contact record?

  2. If you send a message out of OfficeClip and the contact records show the outgoing email is it best to delete the email from the sent box or will that delete the record?

  3. Do incoming and outgoing messages use storage space or is this part of the DB?

  4. Do you have any additional information that will help us learn how the email module works?

Thank you in advance for providing more informaiton.

Best regards,

Teresa Fontanilla

Hi Theresa,

Here are my answers in the same order:

  1. OfficeClip compares the From, To and Cc field of the email and relates to the contact email that matches with one of these.

  2. Currently if you delete the email from the Sent Box, the record will be deleted (not the contact record, but the email).

  3. The emails are stored in the storage space and the email header is stored in the database.

  4. In the email module you can click on the Help button to get more information on how to operate it. I will find out if we have additional documentations.

Thanks
Pradeep
